I started using Black Magic on a project I just started, then I tested a bottle of Super Black that I've had around the house for about six years, since I attended a Speedball lettering class. The difference was astounding! A deep rich black and just perfect. Thank you, Speedball Super Black.

Love this ink! it's everything they say it is, free-flowing, non-clogging, and fast drying, am very happy with this product.

I am very pleased with this ink. Tried it on a whim and found it more blacker and more opaque than the brand I was using, Higgins Black Magic. I did a side-by-side comparison on Bristol board - the Speedball was better (blacker). Also, it bleed a bit less. Great stuff. I'm left wondering why BLack Magic is so much more popular than Super Black.

I love this ink! This is the first brand of ink thatI have tried. It seems to work great! I just got into caligraphy and this is the ink that I bought. I did it because I went to this website and read the reviews. I hope that you also enjoy it!

This is the best of the black india drawing inks that I have used... Good pricing, great bottle form, color and thickness/drying characteristics! This is the India you should be using.

This ink its not too thin and not too thick, which makes it ideal for a dip pen. I haven't had any problems with this ink ever bleeding in the paper. In my opition it dries faster and has a better consitancy then the Higgens black carbon ink. I use the ink both for writing and drawing.

This is the best ink I've used for line work. It just works better than the other inks. This ink reproduces nice and black! Flows great!

Speedball's Super Black ink is the art world's best kept secret bar none. People rave about W & N's black ink as well as Higgins Black Magic, but they pail next to Super Black. There's absolutely no fear of eraser fading and that nasty wash-out look with SB. Plus there's that problem of the oil on your hand making for a difficult drawing surface for the ink (weaker inks just don't absorb into the drawing surface where the skin oil is). But SB doesn't give a darn about skin oil. Opaque from start to finish.

Before switching to Speedball Superblack, I had been using Black Magic ink for most of my drawing. Higgen's Black Magic is very popular amoung cartoonists, but i found that it was still picked up by the eraser when clearing away the pencils on a finished page, or at least enough so that it would turn up dull and unattractive once scanned. Superblack solved this problem. Although a small amount of ink does get picked up still (nobody's perfect, right?) I don't think you'll get many inks that give the consistently satisfying results that I've gotten from Superblack. Plus, with 2 fl oz per bottle, you don't run out nearly as fast as with competing inks. Plus it's cheap!

An extremely competent but a difficult to find ink. It's perfect for comic art, especially for rendering fine detail. It never thins out, hence the name Super Black. I've been a fan of this ink for many years and I wonder why it's not available in art stores, which is even more reason to thank for providing it.

A fine, fine ink. I use it to illustrate various comics and book illustration, and I couldn't be happier with it. Dries fast, doesn't run, and holds up well over time. It's called "super black" for a reason. The only ink I'll use.
