This was my first experience with mechanical pencils for finished pencil drawings and Pentel feels very comfortable in my hand and offers a variety of sizes in both the pencil and leads. The .9mm is not readily available in all brands but Pentel offers the 3 sizes and especially the softer leads in all three sizes that pencils artists need.
