AWESOME PRODUCT! The blue lead does not show up on a scanner. So you just ink over the pencils and then you can scan them in and only the inked lines show up. This is a perfect product for comic book artists and aspiring comic book artists like myself. I recommend this product to all artists and art students.

Two stars for "at least it's a color". I pestered a local office supply to get colored leads for mechanical pencils because my husband is an accountant and sometimes needs red and blue. They ordered the red. I was very disappointed in the red lead. IT BREAKS!!! Maybe it is the pencil, but other leads don't seem to be that fragile in the same pencil. I have some Ish pencils from several years ago with colored lead, it is 0.7mm. I think I'll stick with that size.

Finding these kinds of lead are rare. I will buy more when I run out.

I was looking forever trying to find different colored pencil lead! I bought these to help color code notes for stage managing. I needed something that I could erase basically (but as with colored pencils there is a trace of where the color was). I bought some cheap-y .5 mechanical pencils to use and I'm not sure if it's the pencil or the fact that I am used to writing with .7 but the lead cracks off easily. I wish 1. they sold pencils to go with the lead, 2. it was offered in .7mm size and 3. More color options! But this is the only I could find it, so congrats on that!
