Product Questions and Answers

What kind of glass does this work with?

- Asked by Shortie on 07-Jun-13

This product is geared to windows, mirrors, and household glassware.

- Answered by MisterArt on 10-Jun-13

What is the shelf-life of this stuff?

- Asked by Connie W on 17-Oct-12

According to the manufacturer, the shelf life is three years. If the top has been on tight, it should be okay, but if tiny crystals have formed, you should put the jar in a pan of warm water, (don't get water in the actual etching cream, or it will neutralize it) and the warmth should break up the crystals.

- Answered by MisterArt on 10-Jan-13

Can you etch metal with this also?

- Asked by Don Baxter on 13-Sep-12

The Armour etch is suggested for windows, mirrors, and household glassware. This is not recommended for metal surfaces.

Product was well packaged & arrived safely. Company has excellent customer service.

This product is very easy to use. The finished product has a professional look. My only complaint is that it delivers a very lightly etched design. If you are looking for a more prominent design that is more easily visible at a distance or in all lights or angles, this is not the product.

I use this product and it takes knowing what you are doing but it works very well.
Rated by: Doreen S. in Concrete, WA
Worked exactly as I expected. My projects turned out perfectly and I plan to purchase more in the future. Maybe next time it will be a bigger bottle.

This was a little difficult for me. I tried to do a glass table top then realized it was a different type of glass. Prodject turned out so so.

I just used up an old 3oz. bottle of Armour Etch. It has an extrodinary shelf life! The new 10 oz. bottle I just opened worked just as great as the "old" bottle. I'm having lots of fun etching my own hand-drawn designs on resale store glass!!

Great! It will permanently etch even delicate items like glass xmas ornaments without fear of breaking. I've done wine glasses and the entry door to our pet resort. You can reuse it over and over.

I have used this product several times in the past and continue to be extremely satisfied with it. It makes etching so easy that almost anyone could do it, and the finished product always looks "professionally" done.

This is an excellent product. It's safe to use and doesn't create a lot of mess. A great way for me to introduce my students to the fun of glass etching.

I love this product. It works better than any other etching cream out there! The price at this site is one of the best around as well. Would recommend it to anyone.

I have found Armour Etch to be easy, safe, fun and very effective. I've been able to produce some very satisfying and attractive glass art with very little fuss or mess, using tools I found around the house. What more can one ask. Being able to buy the larger bottle at MisterArt! has been a real blessing. I'm having so much fun, I wish they sold it by the bucket!

I use this product for all of my etching needs. The directions are simple and it makes crafting run smoothly. This time I used it to etch butterflies on toasting flutes and they turned out lovely. I have tried several companies and I suggest this one every time.

I used it this year to make Christmas presents for friends and family, and it's great for using personally designed art to make unique glass etching.

A great product at an excellent price. Armour Etch is wonderful when I am teaching students how to etch glass because it is so easy to use and much safer than other etching creams.

I made a wine glass and caraffe set for my daughter. It turned out beautifully, and was very simple to mke, tho it looked like a million dollars when finished. Thank you for allowing my creativity to take wings.

Great for creating delicate lightly etched designs on glass items. Good for highlights or just the hints of clouds on blue glass.

Perfect for frosting whole pieces.

Fantastic!!! It's so easy to use with such great results. I'd never etched anything before and having this cream made it seem very easy. It's not at all messy and can be applied with just a paint brush, and cleaned up with just water. I love it and plan to etch many more things!
