This works wonderfully for my Drawing class! It's nice when I have to turn in one of my drawings, because it rips out along the perforated edge very nicely!

I find these sketch pads very good for my art students; it's just like it says, heavyweight, spiral bound. When ordering more, I'll probably go for this one.

This is a quality acid-free paper that is very good for charcoal and even soft pastels. My art school students use it exclusively for drawing (pencil and charcoal) and beginning pastels. Although it does not have as much tooth as regular pastel paper, it is good for the beginning student. The only problem I have found with this pad is in the spiral binding. With normal handling, the wire tends to pop out of some of the holes, causing the paper to come loose.
