Product Questions and Answers

Can Slick Paint be used on canvas?

- Asked by Judith on 13-Apr-14

Slick Paints are ideal for cotton and polyester fabrics. The primer used on most canvases will prevent the paint from properly adhering to the surface of the canvas.

- Answered by MisterArt on 15-Apr-14

Can you use a paintbrush to apply Slick Paint?

- Asked by Kristen on 12-Jan-14

Yes, Slick Dimensional Fabric Paint comes with an applicator that allows for writing and fine line work; however, it may also be applied with a paintbrush.

Can you tell me if this is fine to write on crockery and be washable afterwards?

These paints are recommended for fabric, but will stick to some other surfaces. However, they are by no means dishwasher-safe or food-safe.

- Answered by MisterArt on 05-Dec-13

Will this paint work on plexiglass?

Can I use the Dimensional Fabric Paint to paint on glass that will need to be washed on a regular basis?

- Asked by Lisa chamberlain on 28-Sep-13

This is made for fabric (porous) not glass (non-porous) so I don't think you could wash it without it sliding off the glass.

If I paint on regular paper, can I laminate the paper without harming the paint?

I have used "Tulip" fabric paints before and loved them...this time the black dimensional helped me repair a hand-beaded evening gown with great results...

My daughter uses alot of Tulip Dimensional paint for her cheerleading decorations. made it easy for us to order only the colors that we needed instead of having to buy the whole package to get one specific color!
Rated by: Adrienne W. in New Orleans, LA
Tulip dimensional paints are ideal for painting on fabric. They offer a massive variety of colors, textures and finishes. The look great on dolls, shoes, jackets, canvas, feathers and anything else you can imagine. The applicator tip is easy to use and rarely clogs. When it does, a pin will clear it out easily enough. It would be wonderful if offered ALL Tulip paints on their site in the four ounce size!
