These long handled flat brushes have long bristle length for greater spring and freer marks. They work best with more fluid color.

Winton Fine Hog Brushes feature fine quality Chinese hog bristles, and offer excellent quality at an affordable price. The natural curve of the hog bristle produces a resilient brush that retains its shape during use. While specifically designed for use with Winsor & Newton's popular Winton Oil Colours, they are equally suitable for use with all oil, acrylic and Griffin Alkyd Fast Drying Oil colors.

These brushes have seamless, corrosion resistant ferrules and a green stained, natural wood finish.

Product Questions and Answers

Are Winton hog brushes good when using mostly water with acrylic paints?

- Asked by margaret on 11-Oct-13

These brushes are designed for oils, but can be used with acrylic, as well. Acrylic synthetic brushes are generally recommended for acrylic paints, however.

I love these brushes. They allow me to get what needs to be done just when I need it. MisterArt's prices are great, shipments arrive very fast. Thanks so much.

I use these for miniature painting, mostly for drybrushing or painting large areas. They are stiff enough to take some abuse (and drybrushing is very abusive for brushes). Thus far, I like them a lot.
