Grass Roots Art and Community Effort
Grass Roots Art and Community Effort (GRACE) has been a vital force in the community life of Vermont's Northeast Kingdom since 1975, providing a voice for individuals at the grassroots level. GRACE brings weekly art making workshops to the places where people live and work: nursing homes, mental health centers, senior meal sites, adult day centers, and artists' homes. GRACE has been recognized and supported as an important and original community arts program by the Vermont Arts Council, the National Endowment for the Arts, the New England Foundation for the Arts, the Vermont Community Foundation and many private foundations.
I've been using Koh-I-Noor Rapidograph Technical Pens since 1969. My aunt bought me my first set when I was 12 and I have used them daily ever since. I love the fact that I can mix my ink colors to match my watercolor or my wardrobe and use "Pelikan Drawing Ink A" almost exclusively. Though the inks made by Koh-I-Noor and Winsor Newton are satisfactory.
If you are a beginner, I would NOT recommend purchasing anything smaller than an 0 (0.35 mm). Even as a professional I find cleaning a 4x0 to be a challenge. I work most often with a 2x0, and find them to produce the smoothest flow, if kept clean.
I use this tape to hold the Mylar on the drafting table. It's a very good tape! It releases without leaving residue, and it is thin enough to let the rule slide on top. The tape doesn't break while unrolling, unlike many others.
I highly recommend it.
I used Porcelaine 150 about 14 years ago on some glasses; they have been washed over and over in the dishwasher, and the color is still bright and beautiful. I did bake them in the oven as the directions specified. This is a great product!
